Hammerax has announced the expansion of its US made Boomywang® brand of bronze hybrid percussion. The line will now include 3 new hammer patterns and a massive new 47” size to yield new sounds. Boomywang hybrids utilize a patent pending super alloy of startling flexibility. They send out complex highs and wild fluttering FX .

“These new hammer patterns alter sound transmission through the bronze,” stated John Stannard, Hammerax president. The 18” Wave model features a hammered wave pattern, which slows down the wobble of the instrument. The 18” Shield model is based on a war shield and speeds up wobble. The Classic 18” has an indescribably beautiful sound with a slight phasing “wah-wah” effect. The 18” models fit any cymbal bag. They mount in a similar way to chimes on standard boom stands. The bronze is connected to the frame with the world’s toughest suspension cord. In fact Hammerax has received no warranty claims on its hybrids to date.

Boomywang hybrids feature a patent pending bronze super alloy of startling flexibility. Hammerax has unleashed the ultimate Boomywang hybrid with a 47” Energy Burst pattern and a hand hammered Hammerax® H logo, which alone contains over 1000 hand hammered dents. The burst pattern and the H logo are brightly polished, but also radically affect the sound of the instrument. “The hammered energy ribs control the wobble in such a large instrument, and also add to tonal complexity”, said John Stannard, Hammerax president. “The 47 inch Boomywang produces wonderful FX. When played with mallets or struck with fists it can yield a brand new type of gong sound. Drumsticks produce awe inspiring ride and crash FX.”
