Aaron Edgar

Aaron Edgar is one of the hardest working and most in-demand drummers in Winnipeg, with good reason. He's played, toured and recorded with many artists all over the country, such as : The Waking Eyes, Imaginary Cities, Ridley Bent, Willie Mack, Grand Analog , The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and Jack Semple to name a few. He is also a teacher of all styles of drumming from beginner to professional. With his advanced program, "Aaron Edgar's Brain Exchange at the Grain Exchange" focussing on more out there topics : technique to breakbeat, drum n' bass, extreme metal, double bass, time signatures, metric modulation, displacement, advanced poly-rhythmic and multi-poly-rhythmic theory and so on.

Aaron is the owner of Audio Addiction Studio, which was built specifically for recording drums. The focus of this studio is on long distance remote sessions. He utilizes such equipment as API, Great River and Shadow Hills mic pre's. A wide variety of microphones including Royer Labs, Sennheiser and more. SSL Alphalink converters, the list goes on. On top of it all, an unbelievably massive selection of extremely high end drums and cymbals. Aaron is extremely driven and continues an over the top schedule at all times. Somehow he finds time for touring, gigging, teaching, recording and writing. Aaron plays over 40 Hammerax instruments.
